    • Replacing the oil filter and inspecting other filters.
    • Lubricating universal joints, steering, and suspension components, where applicable.
    • Conducting a thorough inspection beneath the chassis for component integrity, leaks, CV boot issues, and wear on steering components.
    • Performing a visual inspection of belts, wiper blades, and exterior lighting.
    • Checking tire pressure and adjusting as needed.
    • Inspecting and replenishing fluids such as coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, transmission fluid, and windshield washer fluid, replacing them as required.

Signs that it might be time for an oil change

Prolonging an oil change can result in serious engine damage. Consider the following factors to help avoid such issues:

    • Has there been an increase in fuel consumption?
    • When checking the oil level with the dipstick, does it appear low?
    • Is the oil dark or dirty when you remove the dipstick?
    • Is the oil warning light illuminated on your dashboard?
    • Have you driven more than 5,000 km since your last oil change?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, it may be time for an oil change. Depending on your vehicle’s oil type, an oil change is typically needed every 5,000 to 10,000 km.

In addition to regular oil changes, other maintenance tasks, such as rotating tires every other oil change, can help extend their lifespan. Replacing air and cabin filters as needed also enhances engine performance and air quality inside your vehicle.
